Steeda's Cold Air intake system for the Ford Edge will give your Edge extra spunk while also helping with fuel mileage. Steeda went the extra mile with its design by allowing it to be used with or without a custom tune.
A removeable insert is provided which when retained in the mass air meter assembly will allow your Edge to use this intake system on the factory Ford tuning. Removing the insert requires you to use a custom tune for the vehicle to run properly. With or without the insert you can add additional power gains over the intake alone with custom tuning using our SCT Xcalibrator 3 tuners.
Expect gains of 10 to 12 horsepower from the intake system alone using the insert and stock tune. The ultimate gains in performance result from the cold air and tune combination. Testing has shown gains of up to 35hp and 27ft/lbs of torque at the wheels when running this system without the insert using a custom tune.
Steeda's Edge Cold Air Kit includes a stainless steel airbox with built in velocity stack, billet mass air w/sensor mount, and Pro-Flow Air Inlet Hose. It mounts in the factory location and the stainless steel heat shield features a rubber seal which seals the airbox and isolates it from engine heat. In addition the Pro-Flow Inlet Elbow was designed to accept the factory noise resonator to keep inlet noise to a minimum. A Steeda exclusive! Our lifetime use air filter can easily be cleaned and re-oiled making maintenance a snap.
