This customized version of America’s best-selling crossover is available with many appearance modifications, including 22-inch polished aluminum rims, a stylish 8-piece body kit, blackout headlamps and tail lamps, a dark brushed interior center stack and bold contrast stitching on the shift knob and steering wheel. At the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in the Ford Motor Company Corporate Display, Steeda Autosports revealed the all new 2009 Steeda Edge Sport. Taking the fine Edge platform that Ford Motor Company has developed, and drawing on the over two decades of experience working exclusively with Ford Motor Company products, we took the 2009 Ford Edge Sport to another level never seen before in the marketplace – creating a crossover vehicle that is worthy of the Steeda name – The 2009 Steeda Edge Sport.
At last year’s SEMA Show, Edsel Ford II personally challenged Steeda founder and President Dario Orlando during dinner to: ”….build me a Steeda Edge…something that would provide increased performance to the Edge platform.” Dario took it upon himself to champion the vast Steeda resources into a new direction by initiating development of the ultimate performance crossover vehicle. “We worked extensively with the Ford Edge Product Development Team since early January of this year – exchanging notes, thoughts, and ideas on this project” stated Dario, adding: “Ford Motor Company provided us a developmental vehicle for our initial efforts, and what you see here is the culmination of great teamwork between Ford and Steeda in the creation of a greatly enhanced performance crossover vehicle.”
